"The Lightning Thief" follows the journey of a twelve-year-old boy named Percy Jackson, who discovers he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon. After being accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, Percy embarks on a quest across the United States to clear his name and prevent a war among the gods. Along the way, he teams up with his friends Grover and Annabeth, facing mythological monsters and challenges that test their courage and friendship. The adventure introduces readers to a modern world intertwined with ancient Greek mythology, filled with humor and exciting twists. In "The Lightning Thief," Percy Jackson is a twelve-year-old boy who discovers he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon. His journey to reclaim Zeus's stolen lightning bolt showcases his bravery and resilience, making him relatable as he navigates challenges associated with being a young hero. Annabeth Chase, with her intelligence and resourcefulness, represents loyalty and courage, inspiring others around her. Grover, the satyr, adds humor and depth as he grapples with his insecurities while protecting Percy, making him a unique character who balances seriousness with light-heartedness.

The cover is fine, but you wouldn't know the story from looking at it. Unless you read the book, you would not be able to understand it. I loved this book because it combines mythology with a relatable coming-of-age story, making it both entertaining and educational. I would want to share it with others because Percy's journey resonates with the struggles of finding one's identity and the importance of friendship, which can inspire readers of all ages. I loved how The Lightning Thief intertwines Greek mythology with modern-day challenges, making the adventure both thrilling and relatable for young readers.
